Job summary

Pratt Industries in Raleigh, NC seeks a Machine Operator Assistant to oversee all aspects of machine operation when assigned and to stand in for the Operator when absent.

You will follow safety policies, maintain a clean workspace, set up and run the machine, ensure orders meet specifications, and participate in training of crew members. The role provides exposure to a large packaging manufacturing operation.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Problem solving and critical thinking.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Follow and ensure that fellow crew members adhere to all applicable safe work policies & procedures.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Assist in ensuring the proper mechanical set up and running of the machine.
• Assist in ensuring that all orders produced are completed according to specifications provided.
• Complete all paper work and data entry as required.
• Assist in the training of crew members.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
