Job summary

Pratt Industries in Sandston, VA is seeking a Machine Helper for the 2nd shift. The role assists the Operator with all aspects of machine operation and may stand in for the Operator when absent.

This full-time, hourly position offers diverse benefits and opportunities to learn operating duties across the production line. Primary responsibilities include maintaining safety, supporting setup and running of the machine, ensuring orders meet specifications, and contributing to production targets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, not required.
• Must be able to learn operating the feed, print, die cutting and delivery sections of the machine.
• Must be willing to be trained as an operator for vacations, sickness, etc.

Responsibilities

• Follow and ensure that fellow crew members adhere to all applicable safe work policies & procedures.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Assist in ensuring the proper mechanical set up and running of the machine.
• Assist in ensuring that all orders produced are completed according to specifications provided.
• Maintain acceptable production rates.
• Complete all paper work and data entry as required.
• Assist in the training of crew members.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
