Job summary

Olympic Steel in Minneapolis is seeking a Leveler Operator Assistant to support continuous improvement and ensure safety, quality, and efficiency in leveling and sheeting operations.

You will set up and operate automatic leveling, stack sheets to customer requirements, and work from orders, layouts, and instructions. The role requires 1–3 years with leveler machines and eligibility for 3rd shift.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED strongly preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience with leveler machine.
• Prior steel industry experience and product knowledge preferred.
• Operational knowledge of crane operation, forklift operation and ancillary lifting devices.
• Production operation experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to work on 3rd shift, 11:00pm - 7:00am, S-Th.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate automatic leveling, sheeting, and console-operated equipment to level length and stack weigh flat sheets of various gauges to customer requirements.
• Work from customer orders, engineered layouts, and general instructions.
