Job summary

Novolex is seeking an Adjuster Mechanic in Brownsville, TX for the 3rd shift. The role reports to the Shift Supervisor and focuses on adjusting Merchandise, Grocery or Sack paper bag machines, ensuring safety, quality, and production targets are met.

Starting pay is $18-22 per hour with a focus on machine setup, repair, and downtime reduction. Candidates must meet basic mechanical skills and be able to lift up to 50 lbs; safety PPE is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Capable of communicating with all levels of internal and external customers.
• Must be able to think on your feet, work with limited supervision and make sound decisions.
• Basic troubleshooting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Continuously perform all required tasks in a safe manner, adhering to all established safety rules and procedures.
• Enforce PPE requirements and safe work practices.
• Perform quality checks and paperwork per Quality Policy.
• Make machine set ups and order changeovers; adjust and repair machines as needed to improve production.
• Monitor machine run speeds and report issues to shift supervisor.
