Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Systems Engineer with deep macOS troubleshooting expertise to manage a globally scaled fleet of macOS client devices. You will diagnose complex issues, drive fleet health, and lead incident responses across enterprise-scale deployments.

You will work with MDM platforms (Jamf Pro, Kandji, Mosyle, Fleet) and AWS-hosted infrastructure to patch OS, deploy software, and enforce configurations, while building runbooks and automated improvements.

Qualifications

4+ years of site reliability engineering (SRE) or related experience in a systems environment.
Experience with scripting in Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby, Bash, or Shell.
Experience administering macOS devices in an enterprise with MDM platforms (Jamf Pro, Kandji, Mosyle, or Fleet).

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and resolve complex macOS issues in a globally scaled environment.
Manage macOS fleet operations: OS patching, software deployments, and MDM policy enforcement across tens of thousands of devices.
Monitor fleet health using telemetry, dashboards, and alerts; identify trends and anomalies.
Lead incident response for fleet-impacting events and produce RCAs.
Maintain and improve client management infrastructure hosted in AWS; develop runbooks and documentation.
Collaborate with engineering on OS upgrades, testing, and risk mitigation.
Automate repetitive operational tasks to improve fleet reliability.
