Job summary

Mercor in New York is seeking part-time collaborators to support a research project with real productivity and automation tasks on a Mac. You will benchmark and improve AI models by narrating your Mac-based workflows and reasoning as you work.

Ideal candidates own a Mac, have 2-3 years of relevant experience or are pursuing a Masters, and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication. The role runs about 10–20 hours weekly with immediate start preferred.

Qualifications

• Must own a MacBook or Mac with Apple Silicon or Intel, running macOS 15+.
• Deep familiarity with macOS apps, keyboard-driven workflows, and system settings.
• Experience building automations with Shortcuts, Automator, AppleScript, Keyboard Maestro, Raycast, Alfred, Zapier, Make, or shell scripting.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed Masters studies, or have 2-3 years of relevant experience + Bachelor's from a prestigious institution.
• Ability to clearly explain your reasoning while you work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Role Overview:

Mercor is looking for computer power users and automation builders with 2-3 years of relevant experience, or currently enrolled postgrad students, to support a research project with a leading AI lab. You will work through real productivity and automation workflows on your own Mac to help benchmark and improve cutting-edge AI models.

Qualifications:

• Required: You must own a MacBook or Mac with an Apple M-series chip or Intel processor, running macOS 15 or higher. Applicants without a Mac cannot be considered.

• Deep familiarity with macOS and its apps, keyboard-driven workflows, and system settings

• Experience building automations with tools such as Shortcuts, Automator, AppleScript, Keyboard Maestro, Raycast, Alfred, Zapier, Make, or shell scripting

• Currently pursuing or recently completed Masters studies, or have 2-3 years of relevant experience + Bachelors from a prestigious institution

• Ability to clearly explain your reasoning while you work
