Job summary

Mercor is seeking detail-oriented individuals to support a research project with a leading AI lab. You will help benchmark and improve cutting-edge AI models while working part-time (roughly 10–20 hours per week) and starting immediately.

Applicants should have 2–3 years of experience or pursuing a Masters, plus a Bachelors from a prestigious institution, and possess strong online research and communication skills. A MacBook with required hardware is essential.

Qualifications

• Macbook with M-series chip is required for all tasks.
• Masters studies or 2–3 years of relevant experience plus a Bachelor’s from a prestigious institution.
• Strong online research and communication skills.
• Ability to gather and clearly summarize information from diverse sources.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Interdisciplinary degree is a nice to have.
• Macbook must meet one of: Apple Silicon (ARM) Macs, M-series MacBook Pro, or MacBook Air with macOS 15+.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality research questions, answers, and evaluation materials to train advanced language models.
• Provide clearly structured responsibilities with low-pressure expectations compared to internships or full-time consulting.
• Support the research project with a leading AI lab and assist benchmarking AI models.

Role Overview:

Mercor is looking for detail-oriented individuals with 2-3 years of experience in STEM, non-STEM fields, or currently enrolled postgrad college students to support a research project with a leading AI lab. You will help benchmark and improve cutting-edge AI models.

Qualifications:

• Required: All experts on this project must have a Macbook device with an ‘M’ series chip to perform tasks on.

• Currently pursuing or recently completed Masters studies, or have 2-3 years of relevant experience + Bachelors from a prestigious institution

• Strong online research and communication skills

• Ability to gather and clearly summarize information from diverse sources

• Excellent written communication skills

• Interdisciplinary degree is a nice to have

• Must have a Macbook with one of the following requirements:

  • Apple Silicon (ARM) Macs

  • M‑series MacBook Pro, or

  • MacBook Air models running macOS 15 or higher

Job Details:
