Job summary

Mercor is seeking computer power users and automation builders with 2-3 years of relevant experience, or enrolled postgrad students, to support a research project with a leading AI lab. Qualifications

• Own a MacBook or Mac with an Apple M-series chip or Intel, running macOS 15+.
• Deep familiarity with macOS apps, keyboard-driven workflows, and system settings.
• Experience automating tasks with Shortcuts, Automator, AppleScript, and related tools.
• Pursuing or completed Masters, or 2-3 years of relevant experience plus Bachelor's.
• Ability to clearly explain reasoning; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Complete and narrate real multi-app productivity tasks on your Mac to train AI models.
• Work independently with structured responsibilities and achievable workloads.
• Start immediately; balance 10-20 hours per week.

Mercor is looking for computer power users and automation builders with 2-3 years of relevant experience, or currently enrolled postgrad students, to support a research project with a leading AI lab. You will work through real productivity and automation workflows on your own Mac to help benchmark and improve cutting-edge AI models.

Qualifications:

• Required: You must own a MacBook or Mac with an Apple M-series chip or Intel processor, running macOS 15 or higher. Applicants without a Mac cannot be considered.

• Deep familiarity with macOS and its apps, keyboard-driven workflows, and system settings

• Experience building automations with tools such as Shortcuts, Automator, AppleScript, Keyboard Maestro, Raycast, Alfred, Zapier, Make, or shell scripting

• Currently pursuing or recently completed Masters studies, or have 2-3 years of relevant experience + Bachelors from a prestigious institution

• Ability to clearly explain your reasoning while you work

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
