Job summary

Primary Care Solutions, Inc. is seeking a dedicated MA/Phlebotomist to create a friendly, confidential clinic environment for Veterans. Office hours are Mon-Fri 8:00am–4:30pm, with no evenings, holidays, on-call, or weekends.

The role includes interviewing patients, taking vital signs, and documenting in the EMR, plus supporting care delivery and patient flow. You will assist providers, obtain histories, collect specimens, and perform tests per certification and state rules.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited phlebotomy certificate program.
• Current phlebotomy certification and BLS required.
• Experience in clinical operations or medical office work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients and collects vital signs; records data in EMR.
• Obtain medical histories and verify patient information.
• Prepare and complete forms; support patient care delivery.
• Assist providers during examinations and treatments.
• Perform ancillary testing (PFT, EKG, injections, audiograms, blood draws).
• Collect specimens and submit results to providers.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient check-in/out.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a MA/Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for providing a friendly, welcoming, and confidential environment for our Veterans who have served our country valiantly. We are seeking healthcare professionals who are driven and committed to ensuring the health and well-being of our nation's Veterans.

• Office hours are Mon - Fri 8:00am to 4:30pm.
• No evenings, holidays, on-call, or weekends!
• Interviews patients, measures vital signs and records information in patient's electronic medicalrecord
• Obtain medical histories from patients; verify patient information
• Prepare, assist, and accurately complete all forms
• Support patient care delivery
• Assist providers during examinations and treatment
• Take vital signs and perform all ancillary tests appropriate to skill level, certifications, and state regulations
• Perform ancillary testing and tasks as ordered by the Center Medical Director (PFT, EKG, injections, audiograms, blood draws, etc.) and as certified
• Collects lab Specimens from patients and submits received results to medical providers.
• Schedule clinic appointments, patient check-in and/or out of the clinic, and verify all clinical reminders due at the time of each visit.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma/GED
• Graduate of an accredited Phlebotomy certificate program
• Current Phlebotomy certification
• Knowledge of computer systems to include the MS Office Suite
• Demonstrate high-quality customer service
• Two yearsof continuous experience in clinical operations or medical office work post externship
• Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association (to be renewed annually)
