Job summary

Primary Care Solutions in Ponca City, OK is seeking an MA/Phlebotomist to provide a welcoming, confidential environment for Veterans who served our country. You will support patient care delivery and assist providers during examinations, while maintaining accuracy in vital signs, forms, and records.

Office hours are Mon–Fri 8:00am–4:30pm with no evenings, holidays, on-call, or weekends, offering stable, full-time weekday schedule in a Federal contractor setting that emphasizes discretion and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate of an accredited Phlebotomy certificate program.
• Current Phlebotomy certification.
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite.
• Demonstrate high-quality customer service.
• Two years of continuous experience in clinical operations or medical office work post externship.
• Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association (renewed annually).

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and record vital signs.
• Obtain medical histories and verify patient information.
• Prepare and complete all forms.
• Support patient care delivery and assist providers during examinations.
• Take vital signs and perform tests appropriate to skill level.
• Collect lab specimens and submit results to medical providers.
• Schedule appointments and verify reminders at time of each visit.

Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a MA/Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for providing a friendly, welcoming, and confidential environment for our Veterans who have served our country valiantly. We are seeking healthcare professionals who are driven and committed to ensuring the health and well-being of our nation's Veterans.

• Office hours are Mon - Fri 8:00am to 4:30pm.
• No evenings, holidays, on-call, or weekends!
• Interviews patients, measures vital signs and records information in patient's electronic medicalrecord
• Obtain medical histories from patients; verify patient information
• Prepare, assist, and accurately complete all forms
• Support patient care delivery
• Assist providers during examinations and treatment
• Take vital signs and perform all ancillary tests appropriate to skill level, certifications, and state regulations
• Perform ancillary testing and tasks as ordered by the Center Medical Director (PFT, EKG, injections, audiograms, blood draws, etc.) and as certified
• Collects lab Specimens from patients and submits received results to medical providers.
• Schedule clinic appointments, patient check-in and/or out of the clinic, and verify all clinical reminders due at the time of each visit.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Graduate of an accredited Phlebotomy certificate program
• Current Phlebotomy certification
• Knowledge of computer systems to include the MS Office Suite
• Demonstrate high-quality customer service
• Two yearsof continuous experience in clinical operations or medical office work post externship
• Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association (to be renewed annually)
