Job summary

LegalSight is seeking a high-energy IT Systems Engineer to own and automate Microsoft 365 governance and Windows endpoint management. You’ll automate recurring admin tasks with PowerShell and Graph, implement Purview policies, and harden the Microsoft 365 tenant across Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and Intune.

In this role you’ll drive ownership, push for automation, and collaborate with security and operations to keep systems aligned with business needs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years administering Windows and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Ability to be a player-coach and mentor teammates.
• Strong automation mindset to reduce repetitive tasks.
• Comfortable using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API for automation.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Purview including retention, DLP, and encryption.
• Hands-on SharePoint Online administration and governance.
• Solid Entra ID/Azure AD fundamentals: identity, conditional access, MFA.
• Windows endpoint and server administration: Intune/MDM, GPO, patching.
• High energy, ownership, and bias for action.
• Clear written communication and documentation habits.

Responsibilities

• Administer and harden the Microsoft 365 tenant end to end (Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Intune).
• Own data governance and compliance tooling in Purview (labels, retention, eDiscovery).
• Automate admin tasks using PowerShell, Graph API, Power Automate, and runbooks.
• Manage Windows systems across fleet: configuration, patching, imaging, GPO/Intune profiles, OS troubleshooting.
• Resolve cross-system issues including SharePoint file encryption and policy conflicts.
• Administer SharePoint Online: architecture, permissions, governance, lifecycle.
• Build identity/workflows: provisioning/deprovisioning, conditional access, MFA, least-privilege roles.
• Support company-wide helpdesk and pattern-based automation.
• Monitor tenant/endpoint health and drive remediation.
• Document configurations and runbooks for team maintainability.
• Collaborate with engineering/security/ops for integrations.
