Job summary

UL Solutions seeks a Platform Manager for the Microsoft 365 platform, responsible for defining and evolving the architecture and ensuring a secure, value-driven M365 ecosystem across collaboration, content, automation, and AI. This player/coach role will set standards and guide a team of M365 professionals with governance and strategic decision-making support.

The incumbent partners with Digital Workplace, Cyber Security, Automation, and other domain owners to ensure intentional and scalable use

Qualifications

• Experience leading and evolving a Microsoft 365 platform
• Strong governance and security mindset across collaboration, content, automation, and AI
• Proven ability to coach and develop a team of M365 professionals
• Knowledge of Copilot and Power Platform capabilities are a plus

Responsibilities

• Owns definition, evolution, and architectural integrity of UL Solutions' Microsoft 365 platform.
• Sets architectural direction, standards, and guardrails for the M365 ecosystem.
• Coaches and develops the M365 team, providing governance and escalated operational decision making.
• Day-to-day administration and operations remain with existing technical teams and service owners.

Job description

The Microsoft 365 Platform Manager owns the definition, evolution, and architectural integrity of UL Solutions’ Microsoft 365 platform while leading and developing the M365 team. This role is accountable for ensuring Microsoft 365 operates as a coherent, secure, and value driven ecosystem—spanning collaboration, content, automation, and AI—rather than a collection of disconnected tools.

This is a player/coach role. The successful candidate will set architectural direction, establish standards and guardrails, coach a team of M365 professionals, and provide governance and escalated operational decision making. Day to day administration and operational execution remain with the existing technical teams and service owners.

The role partners closely with Digital Workplace leadership, Cyber Security, Automation (Power Platform), Digital Adoption, and other domain owners to ensure intentional, scalable, and responsible use of Microsoft 365 capabilities, including Copilot.
