Job summary

RaceTrac is seeking an M365 AI & Automation Platform Admin responsible for overseeing the secure operation of Microsoft 365 AI and automation systems. This role involves governance of enterprise automation while collaborating with various teams to align solutions with business objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and 5–8+ years of experience with Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and AI integration, ensuring that solutions are both secure and efficient.

Overview

The M365 AI & Automation Platform Admin is responsible for the reliable, secure, and scalable operation of the organization’s Microsoft 365 AI and automation ecosystem, including Power Platform, Copilot Studio, and Azure AI (Foundry/OpenAI). This role leads the standardization and governance of enterprise automation and AI initiatives while partnering closely with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure solutions are secure, cost‑effective, and aligned with business objectives. This role balances platform control with enablement, ensuring AI and automation capabilities drive measurable business value without introducing risk or sprawl.

Responsibilities

• Platform Ownership & Governance
  • Own the end‑to‑end architecture and governance of Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse), Copilot Studio (AI agents), and Azure AI (Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry).
  • Define and enforce environment strategy (Dev / Test / Prod), DLP policies, and connector governance.
  • Agent lifecycle management: build → test → deploy → retire.
  • Establish standards for automation development, reuse, and scalability; agent publishing, deployment, and access control.
  • Integrate automation with Microsoft Graph API, Azure services (Functions, Logic Apps, API Management), and enterprise platforms (ServiceNow, Workday, etc.).
  • Monitoring, cost & usage management: establish visibility into usage and performance; monitor adoption and AI consumption patterns; manage licensing impact and capacity utilization; implement cost control strategies; identify opportunities to eliminate redundancy and optimize platform efficiency.
  • Security, compliance & risk management: ensure solutions align with enterprise security and compliance requirements; use approved connectors and governed data sources; enforce least‑privilege access; monitor and mitigate data exposure risks; maintain auditability and governance across the platform.
  • Establish and lead a Power Platform & AI Center of Excellence: define intake and approval processes; provide guidance on best practices and governance standards.
  • Act as both platform gatekeeper and strategic enabler.
• Cross‑Functional Partnership
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams, business stakeholders, and functional leaders.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, secure automation and AI solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5–8+ years of experience in Microsoft365, Power Platform, or enterprise automation.
• Hands‑on experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse, Copilot Studio / Power Virtual Agents.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft365 architecture (Teams, SharePoint, Exchange integration) and EntraID (RBAC, app registrations, service principals).
• Technical expertise in Azure AI: Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI (APIs, model integration, prompt design).
• Experience with integration: Microsoft Graph API, REST APIs, secure authentication (OAuth, managed identity).
• Knowledge of platform governance: DLP policies, environment strategy, lifecycle management.
• Deployment: solution packaging and promotion across environments.
• Monitoring: Dynatrace, Log Analytics, Application Insights, or equivalent tools.
