Job summary

PLANIT Group in the United States is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our remote-first team. You will install, configure, and maintain Windows Server ecosystems, Active Directory, and related tools, while collaborating with DevOps and NetOps to deploy solutions for corporate users.

The role involves travel to various offices for site surveys, migration of data to the corporate cloud, handling email infrastructure, and ensuring security, backups, and business continuity.

Qualifications

• Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows operating systems and servers.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain OS, apps, and system tools.
• Travel to offices for site surveys and document hardware, software, and infra.
• Collaborate with DevOps/NetOps to deploy solutions for corporate users.
• Migrate server data and permissions to corporate cloud.
• Monitor and optimize application performance; address bottlenecks.
• Maintain security, backups, and business continuity plans.
• Provide escalation support for the tech team.
• Manage email domain hosting and registrar migrations.
• Adjust email domain MX records for mail flow changes.
• Recreate email profiles and troubleshoot mail flow issues.
• Train end users on Email and Cloud systems.
• Troubleshoot Outlook issues via command line and tools.
• Run PowerShell to extract data from Exchange and legacy systems.
• Migrate and troubleshoot Microsoft Exchange/M365 migrations.
