Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a Manager to join the Transaction Services Tax team. You will develop and implement transaction advisory services for diverse clients, including private equity and public companies, across multiple industries.

The role offers broad exposure to valuation, structuring, due diligence and post-acquisition planning. The position requires a Bachelor's in finance or accounting (or graduate degree) and CPA or JD/LLM, with 2+ years in a professional services firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting or related field; or a graduate degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
• CPA or JD/LLM required.
• 2+ years of work experience in a mid to large professional services firm.
• Strong written communication and client service skills.
• Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, organization, interpersonal and project management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Interact with Partners on client and engagement management.
• Model financial transactions for valuation, structuring and negotiation.
• Prepare memoranda and presentations describing client attributes.
• Review tax aspects of acquisition and merger agreements.
• Identify tax risks and advise on alternative tax strategies.
• Analyze tax computations in financial models and projections.
• Gather data, review documents and prepare reports.
• Conduct due diligence for buy and sell side transactions.
• Support transaction structuring and negotiation.
• Communicate with business owners to ensure high-quality service.
