Job summary

West Monroe is seeking Consulting Interns to join our Mergers & Acquisitions Practice in Chicago. You will learn about due diligence, carve-out planning, and post-close value creation while supporting sell-side and integration initiatives.

Interns collaborate with cross-functional teams, engage with C-level stakeholders, and apply AI and analytics to deliver actionable insights. A hybrid work model and travel flexibility are offered to high-potential candidates.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree with expected graduation between December 2027 and August 2028.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Reside within 50 miles of the assigned office; willing to travel up to 50%.
• Experience integrating AI tools into day-to-day workflows to enhance productivity.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams specializing in mergers and acquisitions; demonstrate executive presence with C-level client counterparts.
• Support due diligence site visits to identify operational and technology strategies.
• Assess investment strategies comparing operating models against leading practices.
• Prepare focused request lists and agendas for diligence sessions.
• Deliver post-close projects to implement operational processes and technologies.
• Develop and enhance West Monroe's M&A methodologies and client delivery approaches.
• Apply emerging technologies including AI to improve efficiency and insights.
• Support creation of work plans and statements of work for prospective clients.
