Job summary

West Monroe is seeking Consulting Interns for the Mergers & Acquisitions Practice in the United States. You will learn through operational and technology assessments during due diligence, plan carve-out or integration projects, and support post-close execution and value creation for buy- and sell-side engagements.

You’ll gain exposure to Consumer & Industrial, High Tech & Software, Healthcare, Insurance & Financial Services, and other sectors, applying AI tools to drive insights and efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in progress with expected graduation between December 2027 and August 2028.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Reside within 50 miles of your assigned office and join a hybrid work model.
• Willing to travel up to 50%; travel expenses covered by West Monroe.
• Experience integrating AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) into day-to-day workflows.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams specializing in mergers and acquisitions and engage with C-level client counterparts.
• Support due diligence site visits to identify operational and technology strategies and current state processes.
• Assess investment strategies and compare operating models against leading practices and benchmarks.
• Prepare focused request lists, agendas, and support diligence sessions and deliverables.
• Work with engagement leadership to deliver post-close projects to enhance value creation and efficiency.
• Contribute to development and enhancement of West Monroe’s M&A methodologies and client delivery approaches.
• Apply emerging technologies including AI to improve efficiency and insights.
• Assist in creating work plans and statements of work for prospective clients and projects.
