Job summary

West Monroe is seeking a Mergers & Acquisitions Consulting Intern to join our Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. You will support due diligence, carve-out planning, integration, and value-creation initiatives for corporate and private equity clients.

You'll work with cross-functional teams across industries, applying AI tools to enhance analysis and delivery while gaining hands-on experience in deal lifecycle and post-close execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in progress with expected graduation between Dec 2027 and Aug 2028.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Reside within 50 miles of the assigned office with a hybrid work model.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% with travel expenses covered.
• Experience integrating AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) into day-to-day workflows.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage C-level client counterparts.
• Support due diligence site visits to identify operational and technology strategies.
• Assess investment strategies and operating models against leading practices.
• Prepare focused diligence materials and agendas for sessions.
• Work with engagement leadership on post-close projects to enhance value creation.
• Contribute to development of M&A methodologies and client delivery approaches.
• Apply AI technologies to improve insights and delivery efficiency.
• Create work plans and statements of work for prospective projects.
