Job summary

Ecovyst, a leading sulfur solutions platform, seeks an experienced M&A Project Director to lead end-to-end transaction execution. You will drive due diligence, business case development, valuation modeling, and negotiation strategies while coordinating with Finance, Legal, HR, IT, and third-party advisors.

This role reports to the SVP of Business Development & Strategy and partners across Commercial, Operations, and Tax functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, or private equity.
• Experience in industrials, chemicals, or adjacent industries.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; strong grasp of financial statements and valuation methodologies.
• Ability to synthesize diligence findings into executive-ready materials.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end M&A project execution across all workstreams (commercial, operations, EHS, legal, finance, tax, treasury, IT, HR and 3rd party Advisors).
• Oversee and manage due diligence, distill findings into business cases and valuation assumptions.
• Prepare executive-ready updates and governance materials for management and Board review.
• Collaborate with Legal and external advisors on offers, closing conditions, and regulatory approvals.
• Develop integration or separation plans,including Day 1 readiness and value-capture roadmap.
• Coordinate Day 1 readiness deliverables and stakeholder communications (HR, IT, finance, customers).
• Travel periodically (typical 20–40%) for target site visits and diligences.
