Job summary

The Sunoco LP Mergers & Acquisitions Intern will work with the M&A team to support market analysis, financial modeling, and deal evaluation for acquisition opportunities in fuel distribution. You will research markets, build cash-flow projections, and help prepare leadership-ready materials and due diligence summaries.

This paid internship runs for twelve weeks starting May 2027 and requires enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program with expected graduation in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Administration, or Marketing.
• Strong proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with financial analysis; willingness to learn SQL and modeling techniques.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with guidance.
• Enthusiasm for learning and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Support the M&A team in identifying and evaluating targets aligned with strategy.
• Conduct market and competitor research with regional dynamics and regulatory awareness.
• Build and maintain financial models for targets, including cash flows and synergy estimates.
• Prepare summaries and materials for leadership recommendations.
• Participate in due diligence and organize information from cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and Operations to support deal execution and integration planning.
• Provide analytical and administrative support for special projects.
