Job summary

Baker Tilly US is seeking a candidate to join our Mergers and Acquisitions practice, assisting in financial due diligence, data analysis, and report preparation for middle-market clients. You will contribute to tax diligence and M&A advisory engagements under supervision.

Requires a bachelor’s in accounting, CPA preferred, and US work authorization. Travel around 15% is expected; strong Excel/Office skills and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA preferred; if not, must meet educational requirements to obtain CPA license upon hire in state of employment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; Baker Tilly will not sponsor now or in the future.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience.
• Public accounting or law firm experience preferred.
• Experience in tax due diligence and merger and acquisitions tax consulting preferred.
• Ability to understand problems, think critically, research and identify creative solutions.
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively across functions/departments/teams while building trusted relationships.
• Self directed professional and takes initiative for professional growth and development.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint).
• Ability to travel as needed, approximately 15%.

Responsibilities

• Assist Seniors, Managers and Partners in conducting financial due diligence on middle-market companies in a variety of industries
• Conduct analytical reviews of data and prepare findings
• Create draft reports for management review
• Research issues that arise during the course of engagement
