Onward Energy is seeking an Associate, M&A to support growth through acquisitions, financings, and development of renewable and gas assets. You will build and maintain Excel models, prepare investment memos, and collaborate with senior leaders through due diligence and deal execution.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in investment banking or related fields, strong financial skills, and knowledge of US power markets.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Economics or quantitative field.
• 2+ years in investment banking, project finance, development or asset management in power/utilities with financial focus.
• Excellent financial modeling skills with MS Office proficiency.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and audit-ready analysis under tight timelines.
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with tax equity financing structures is a plus.
• Experience with agentic AI tools to optimize workflows is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Own Excel-based financial models for M&A and development activities.
• Analyze investment opportunities including DCF, financial analysis, market research, and competitive analysis.
• Develop internal memos and investment memos focused on returns and valuation metrics.
• Present financial results and investment recommendations to senior management and owners.
• Assist with raising debt and tax equity, including lender models and capital structuring.
• Coordinate due diligence across teams to ensure data integrity in models and analyses.
• Review transaction documents and assess financial, operational and valuation implications.
• Provide analytical support to portfolio initiatives including sales and redevelopment projects.
• Support sourcing and maintain the M&A opportunity pipeline.
