Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated M&A Business Development Associate to support a leading healthcare company’s acquisition and business development activities. This individual will work closely with the Chief Development Officer and the Director of M&A/Business Development, while collaborating with a small team of associates.
The ideal candidate will bring 2-5 years of M&A experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and a genuine desire to contribute in a high-performing, team-oriented environment. Experience specifically in healthcare M&A is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the identification, research, and evaluation of prospective acquisition and business development opportunities.
- Conduct market research, company profiling, and industry analysis to identify potential targets and strategic partners.
- Assist with the preparation of financial analyses, valuation materials, investment summaries, and management presentations.
- Help maintain and manage the company’s M&A pipeline and related tracking systems.
- Support the preparation of materials for internal investment committee and executive leadership discussions.
- Coordinate information gathering and documentation during the due diligence process.
- Work with internal stakeholders and external advisors to help advance transactions efficiently.
- Assist with outreach, follow-up, and relationship management with prospective acquisition targets and business partners.
- Track market activity, competitor developments, and relevant healthcare industry trends.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and ad hoc analyses for the Chief Development Officer and Director of M&A/Business Development.
- Collaborate with other associates and cross-functional teams to support broader business development initiatives.
- Maintain a high level of organization, responsiveness, discretion, and attention to detail throughout the transaction process.
Required Qualifications
- 2-5 years of professional experience in M&A/Business Development
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and research skills.
- Ability to review and interpret financial statements and business performance data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated work ethic and a strong desire to learn, contribute, and take ownership.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a small, collaborative team.
- Professional judgment and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, healthcare administration, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare M&A or healthcare investment experience (strongly preferred).
- Experience evaluating healthcare services businesses or healthcare-related investment opportunities.
- Experience working with senior executives, business owners, lenders, investment professionals, or external advisors.
- Understanding of healthcare industry dynamics and market trends.
- Master's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, healthcare administration, or a related field.
- Hybrid position based in Atlanta, Georgia.
- Employees are expected to work on-site at least three days per week.
- Limited travel, with attendance at up to two conferences annually.
- Collaborative team environment with direct exposure to senior leadership.
- Base Salary: $90,000-$100,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Deal-Based Bonuses: Additional bonuses of several thousand dollars for each completed transaction.
