Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• State license for Occupational Therapy is required.
• Basic Life Support (Healthcare Provider) certification is required.
• Experience or certification in lymphedema management is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and documents patient's medical, mental and emotional needs at admission and on an on-going basis.
• Develops and implements a plan of care to meet patient and family needs, including discharge planning and resource utilization.
• Acts as patient advocate; treats patients and families with compassion and implements plan of care safely and timely.
• Demonstrates clinical reasoning and performs accurate assessments and patient care activities; evaluates intervention effectiveness.
• Identifies normal illness course and intervenes when deviations occur.
• Communicates patient information and documents therapist's actions and plan of care.
• Provides clinical leadership and mentoring.
