Job summary

Carolinas Rehabilitation Pineville, part of Atrium Health, is seeking an Occupational Therapist for outpatient rehab. You will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to promote functional independence and safe discharge planning.

Required: Bachelor's in OT, state OT license, and BLS; CLT lymphedema experience is highly desired. Strong documentation and leadership abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and state OT license required.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required.
• Experience or certification in lymphedema management (CLT preferred) is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and documents patient’s medical, mental and emotional needs at admission and ongoing.
• Develops and implements a plan of care to meet patient and family needs, including discharge planning and resource utilization.
• Advocates for patients; treats patients and families with compassion while implementing the care plan safely and timely.
• Demonstrates clinical reasoning and skills to perform accurate assessments and evaluate therapy interventions.
• Identifies the normal course of illness and intervenes appropriately when deviations occur.
• Communicates patient information and documents therapist actions and care plan thoroughly.
• Provides clinical leadership and mentoring to colleagues and students.
