Companion Animal Clinic in Blacksburg, VA, is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our companion animal and exotic pet team. You will support veterinarians, assist with anesthesia, and help deliver compassionate care in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician credential required.
• Proficiency in anesthesia monitoring, venipuncture, lab work, radiology and dentistry.
• Ability to maintain accurate medical records and communicate with clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to hospitalized patients, including IV catheter placement and monitoring.
• Prepare, monitor, and recover patients undergoing surgical procedures with a focus on safety and comfort.
• Assist veterinarians during examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
• Perform laboratory diagnostics and document results accurately.
• Operate and maintain radiology and ultrasound systems in compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain controlled drug logs and assist with inventory and supply management.
