Virginia Veterinary Specialty & Emergency in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) for our Surgery department. The role focuses on anesthesia support, postoperative care, and close collaboration with board-certified specialists.

Qualified candidates hold an AAS in Veterinary Technology and Virginia LVT licensure, with at least 1 year of specialty experience preferred. The role offers a full-time schedule with a comprehensive benefits package.

Formación

• Licensed Veterinary Technician with Virginia licensure.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a specialty setting preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork required.

Responsabilidades

• Perform nursing procedures, postoperative care, wound management and bandaging.
• Assist veterinarians with surgical procedures, anesthesia, monitoring and recovery.
• Provide emergency and critical care nursing including CPR and resuscitation.
• Conduct diagnostic lab work: microbiology, hematology, serology, urinalysis.
• Operate clinical diagnostic tools and maintain equipment.
• Maintain medical records in Instinct and manage client education.
• Ensure a clean, safe and organized facility and collaborate with staff.
