Salem Veterinary Hospital in Virginia Beach is seeking a licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our dedicated team. Qualifications

• Current Virginia LVT license or eligibility for Virginia licensure.
• Strong nursing and technical skills with a focus on patient care.
• Confidence with anesthesia, dentistry, and hospitalized patient care.
• Excellent communication and client education abilities.
• Attention to detail and reliable team player.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care and perform procedures within Virginia licensure.
• Assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
• Induce and monitor anesthesia and provide perioperative care.
• Perform venipuncture, IV access, lab work, imaging, and treatments.
• Participate in dentistry including radiographs and tech-level work.
• Monitor hospitalized patients and report changes to the team.
• Educate clients on medications, preventive care, and home care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and collaborate with staff.
