Job summary

NEW PRAGUE ANIMAL CARE PA in Minnesota is seeking a compassionate Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our private, independently-owned small animal clinic. We have a full-time opportunity for an experienced LVT to assist veterinarians with surgeries, care coordination, and patient monitoring.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician.
  • LVT licensure required.
  • CPR trained and certified.
  • Knowledge of animal care and handling.
  • Team player with excellent written and communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a busy environment.
  • Patience, compassion, and a love for animals.

Responsibilities

  • Triage pets as they arrive at the clinic
  • Interview pet owners to obtain a patient history
  • Take vital signs and obtain blood samples
  • Calculate drug dosages per veterinarian instruction and assist with surgeries and monitoring
  • Perform procedures including catheterization, intubation, ultrasound-guided cystocentesis, dental prophylaxis, and digital radiographs
  • Administer medications and provide at-home dosage instructions
  • Keep accurate patient records
  • Fear-free training and experience is desired

Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate Licensed Veterinarian Technician to join the team at our private, independently-owned, progressive small animal clinic. We have a full-time opportunity for an experienced LVT to join our team! Veterinary Technician responsibilities include assisting the Veterinarian with surgeries and procedures, coordinating animal care, and monitoring animal recovery. You will work closely with the entire clinic staff to ensure the health and well-being of all of our pet patients. If you are passionate about providing exceptional animal care, we’d like to meet you.

  • Adeptly perform procedures including catheterization, intubation, ultrasound-guided cystocentesis, dental prophylaxis, and digital radiographs
  • Administer medications and provide at‑home dosage instructions for clients
  • Keep accurate patient records
  • Fear‑free training and experience is desired
Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of previous experience as a Veterinary Technician is required
