Job summary

FullShift Staffing, LLC is seeking an LVN for a leadership role in a California long-term care setting. The nurse will oversee nursing care, administer medications and treatments, and ensure physician orders are executed per policy.

licensure in CA is required; LTC experience and familiarity with PointClickCare are preferred. The role involves rounds with physicians and collaboration with the care team to educate families and patients.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as LVN in California.
• One-year nursing management experience preferred, not required.
• Long term care experience.
• PointClickCare charting experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Infection Control Manual.
• Participates in the Quality Improvement Program.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for patient placement and monitoring.
• Notifies other departments of patient changes.
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Administers medications timely and according to policy.
• Administers treatments timely according to policy.
• Receives and carries out physician orders as allowed by law.
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Job description

Objective

Provides nursing care within scope of practice to ensure patient’s needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies and procedures, and state, federal and local guidelines.

Principal Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Company Infection Control Manual.
• Understands, participates and assists in implementing the Quality Improvement Program.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs.
• Notifies other Departments of patient changes, i.e., room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge, etc.
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer medications timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer treatments timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates ability to receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders, if allowed by Nurse Practice Act
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as LVN in state of California
• One-year prior nursing management experience preferred, not required.
