Job summary

FullShift Staffing, LLC seeks a licensed LVN in California to provide nursing care within the scope of practice in a long-term care setting. The role supports medication administration, patient assessment, and adherence to applicable policies and regulations.

The ideal candidate will participate in quality improvement and family education, with preference given to those with nursing management experience and familiarity with PointClickCare charting.

Qualifications

• Licensed LVN in California (or compact license if working in a compact state).
• One-year nursing management experience preferred.
• Long-term care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Infection Control Manual.
• Participates in implementing the Quality Improvement Program.
• Uses the Quality Life Manual for patient identification, placement, and monitoring.
• Notifies other departments of patient changes (room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge).
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Administers medications timely according to facility policy.
• Administers treatments timely according to facility policy.
• Receives, transcribes and carries out physician orders as allowed by Nurse Practice Act.
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Objective

Provides nursing care within scope of practice to ensure patient’s needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies and procedures, and state, federal and local guidelines.

Principal Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Company Infection Control Manual.
• Understands, participates and assists in implementing the Quality Improvement Program.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs.
• Notifies other Departments of patient changes, i.e., room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge, etc.
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer medications timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer treatments timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates ability to receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders, if allowed by Nurse Practice Act
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as LVN in state California, if contract is in the state of Califonia. Have a compact license if working in a Compact state.
• One-year prior nursing management experience preferred
