Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in Houston, TX is hiring a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide in-home care for pediatric and/or adult patients. Weekend shifts are available immediately. Competitive pay, weekly paychecks, and comprehensive benefits accompany this role.

You will perform nursing assessments, plans, and interventions, delivering skilled care per physician orders in patients’ homes. Prior nursing experience and active LVN license in TX are required; BLS and TB/Chest X-ray are necessary.

Qualifications

• One year of professional nursing experience preferred
• Currently licensed as an LVN in the state where practice occurs
• Current TB or Chest X-Ray required
• Current BLS card required

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• On each assignment, provide skilled nursing care/services in accordance with prescribed orders.
• Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient’s condition.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data from health care members and document nursing diagnoses.
