South Plains Rural Health Services is seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Big Spring clinic. We are looking for a nurse who enjoys patient-centered care, works well as part of a collaborative healthcare team, and is committed to serving our community.

What You'll Do

The LVN/RN works closely with providers and other clinical staff to coordinate and deliver quality patient care in an outpatient setting. Responsibilities may include:

• Assess patients and obtain appropriate clinical information.
• Perform and document nursing care within the scope of licensure.
• Administer medications, injections, and treatments as ordered and permitted by licensure.
• Assist providers with examinations and procedures.
• Provide patient education and reinforce provider instructions.
• Review and respond to patient needs and clinical communications.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
• Coordinate care with providers and other members of the healthcare team.
• Follow infection control, medication safety, HIPAA, and organizational policies.
• Perform additional nursing responsibilities within the scope of LVN or RN licensure.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Texas LVN or RN license required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required or ability to obtain as required.
• Previous outpatient, primary care, or clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Electronic health record experience preferred.
