Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse for per diem days to support adult home health visits in the Huntsville coverage area. Join a leading home health and hospice provider delivering care in patients' homes.

Verify plans of care, collaborate with physicians and RNs, and perform routine assessments while ensuring accurate documentation and compassionate, patient-centered care in a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• One year of LVN clinical experience.
• Active LVN license for the assigned state(s).
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Verify plan of care with the RN prior to each visit.
• Collaborate with physician and RN to meet patient needs and report changes.
• Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques.
• Check vital signs.
• Review medications and reconcile at each visit.
• Perform procedures ordered by physician (e.g., foley catheter changes).
• Prepare equipment for treatments using aseptic technique.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
