Amedisys is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse to provide per diem day visits in the Huntsville coverage area. You will verify plans of care with RNs, collaborate with physicians, and educate patients and caregivers in self-care at home.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of LVN experience, a current state LVN license, CPR certification, and reliable transportation. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are included.

Formación

• One year of LVN clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.

Responsabilidades

• Verify plan of care with the RN prior to each visit.
• Collaborate with physician and RN to ensure patient needs are met and notify changes.
• Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques.
• Check vital signs.
• Review medications and perform medication reconciliation at each visit.
• Perform physician-ordered procedures (e.g., Foley catheter changes).
• Prepare equipment using aseptic technique.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
