Job summary

Liberty Healthcare Corporation in San Diego County is hiring LVN or LPT clinicians for our jail mental health program. You will care for inmates, administer medications, educate patients, and document health status while coordinating with security staff.

This full-time, 40-hour-per-week role runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm, with benefits and competitive pay.

Job description

Licensed Vocational Nurses and Licensed Psychiatric Technicians are encouraged to consider a full-time position with Liberty Healthcare’s mental health program in San Diego County.

Program Overview

Liberty Healthcare operates a specialized mental health program within multiple jail facilities located in San Diego County.

The goal of the program is to provide rapid mental health services to people in need - so they may achieve improved behavioral health outcomes as quickly as possible.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care to jail inmates
• Administering IV and oral medications
• Providing health education
• Observing and documenting health status
• Collaborating with security staff
• Ensuring program clients receive high-quality health services

Work setting

You will split time working onsite at these two jail facilities:

• The Rock Mountain Detention Facility at 406 Alta Road in San Diego, CA 92158 (nearby Otay Mesa)
• The Las Colinas Detention and Reentry Facility at 451 Riverview Parkway in Santee, CA 92071

Schedule

You will work full-time, 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30pm.

Pay And Benefits

• $30.00 to $36.00 per hour (depending on qualifications)

Qualifications
