Job summary

Liberty Healthcare is seeking an LVN or Psychiatric Technician for a per diem weekend role at the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning, CA. This position supports mental health evaluation and treatment for justice-involved adults with mental illness.

Qualifications

Job description

Licensed Vocational Nurses and Psychiatric Technicians are encouraged to consider a per diem weekend position with Liberty Healthcare’s mental health program at the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility - a Riverside County jail.

This program provides mental health evaluation and treatment services to adults who are justice-involved and experiencing mental illness.

Responsibilities

• Providing basic nursing care to jail inmates
• Administering IV and oral medications
• Providing health education
• Observing and documenting health status
• Collaborating with security staff
• Ensuring program clients receive high quality health services

Work setting

You will work onsite at the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility at 1627 S. Hargrave Street in Banning, CA 92220.

Schedule

• You will work per diem (as needed) primarily on weekends
• Work hours are from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Pay

$30.00 to $36.00 per hour (depending on qualifications)
