Bakersfield Post Acute is seeking compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) for all shifts to provide direct nursing care to residents. The LVN will supervise CNAs and ensure care is delivered per regulations and facility policies under the direction of the Director of Nursing or Nurse Supervisor.
Responsibilities include charting, medication administration, admissions/discharges, and participation in quality assurance. Current CA LVN license and SNF experience preferred.

The primary purpose of this position is to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). The LVN ensures care is delivered in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, facility policies, and direction from the Director of Nursing or Nurse Supervisor to maintain the highest level of quality resident care.
As an LVN, you are delegated the authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary to carry out assigned duties and supervise nursing assistants during your shift.
This position works throughout the nursing service areas, including resident rooms, medication rooms, and nursing stations. The role involves frequent interaction with residents, families, staff, and regulatory agencies. Exposure to infectious diseases, hazardous materials, and emergency situations may occur.
