Job summary

Paradigm Healthcare in Wharton, TX is seeking a dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for per diem shifts in our skilled nursing facility. You will provide direct nursing care under supervision and follow the plan of care and physician orders.

Qualifications

• Must hold current, active LVN license in Texas.
• 2 years' Long-Term Care experience preferred.
• Six (6) months of rehabilitative/restorative nursing preferred.
• Must demonstrate leadership, organizational skills, and maintain a positive, professional attitude.
• Strong knowledge of Point Click Care preferred.
• Computer literacy skills (Outlook, MS Office, Internet).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care under supervision of a registered nurse or physician, per nurse practice act and facility policies.
• Deliver care to residents following the plan of care and physician orders.
• Follow written policies and procedures governing nursing services.
• Respect resident privacy and report any suspected privacy violations.
• Make frequent rounds to ensure nursing staff perform to standard.
• Oversee nurse aides and coordinate with staff to maintain department policies.
