Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an Accredited LVN program.
• Minimum six months’ employment experience as an LVN; twelve months preferred.
• Six months of experience working or volunteering with persons with mental illness preferred.
• Licensed to practice as an LVN in Texas or a state recognizing reciprocity through the Nurse Licensure Compact.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications and treatments; assists RNs and physicians.
• Trains and mentors LVN staff; implements protocols.
• Performs complex nursing procedures and patient assessments.
• Documents treatments and observations in medical records.
• Responds to emergencies and ensures patient safety.
