JPS Health Network seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse II to provide total nursing care for assigned patients under provider orders and nurse supervision. The role includes monitoring patient status, recording vital signs, and performing prescribed tasks in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities also cover patient education, adherence to regulatory standards, and leadership as a preceptor for LVNs and other clinical staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Vocational Nursing.
• Current Texas LVN license to practice and maintain licensure throughout employment.
• Current JPS-recognized Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; must be maintained throughout employment.
• ACLS certification within 3 months of hire (required in Emergency Department and Critical Care).
• EKG testing completed within 90 days of hire and maintained throughout employment.

Responsabilités

• Delivers total nursing care for assigned patients under provider orders and supervision of the charge nurse.
• Documents patient information and vital signs; monitors patient condition and reports changes.
• Performs specified laboratory tests and maintains accurate records.
• Provides patient education to address identified knowledge deficits.
• Acts as a preceptor to LVNs and other clinical staff as directed; participates in performance improvement initiatives.
