Job summary

Redwood Cove Healthcare Center in Ukiah, California is seeking a compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team. The LVN will provide direct patient care under the supervision of RNs and physicians, supporting residents in a dynamic healthcare setting.

The role requires current California LVN licensure, at least 1 year of healthcare experience (preferably long-term care), strong clinical skills, and excellent communication with residents and families.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in California.
• Minimum of 1 year of healthcare experience, preferably long-term care or skilled nursing.
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing principles and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build rapport with residents and families.
• Compassionate, patient-centered care, promoting dignity and independence.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring vital signs.
• Collaborate with RNs and other healthcare staff to develop and implement care plans.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Document patient information accurately in EMR.
• Communicate with residents, families, and team about patient status and questions.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and care planning.
