Job summary

Ascension Providence in Waco, TX is seeking a licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join the Clinic Float team. You will perform patient assessments and administer medications under the guidance of RNs and physicians to support safe, effective care.

Responsibilities include coordinating care plans, educating patients and families, and documenting the patient journey with accuracy. This full-time role requires BLS within 30 days and Texas licensure (or multi-state NLC) prior to hire.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire.
• Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program.
• Texas LPN/LVN license (or multi-state license via Nurse Licensure Compact) required or must be obtained prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and clinical treatments under supervision of RNs and physicians.
• Manage medication administration with precision and monitor patient responses.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and self-care for discharge readiness.
• Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic services including laboratory tests as needed by the clinical team.
• Contribute to care plans and maintain thorough documentation of the patient's journey.
