Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Longview, TX seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to support clinic patients under physician supervision. You will perform basic patient care duties, assist with procedures, manage patient flow, and administer medications per order.

Qualifications

• Requires LVN license in state of employment or a compact
• BLS certification required by the employer
• CERT credential recognized by the facility

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of a physician; performs basic patient care duties including obtaining vital signs, weighing patients, and collecting specimens
• Assists provider in examination and treatment of patients and with procedures; supports patient flow through the clinic
• Answers phone messages and assists providers with patient-related calls
• Helps schedule tests, results, and pre-certification
• Documents patient information and assists with medication refills
• Administers medications/immunizations per provider order
• Cleans/restocks exam rooms and maintains sterile technique and equipment
• Performs routine clerical duties and maintains patient charts
• Attends meetings and completes in-service training as assigned
