Oakwood Gardens Care Center is hiring a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for the Full-Time AM shift to provide direct resident care and supervise CNAs, ensuring quality outcomes in a skilled nursing setting. The LVN will administer medications, document care, monitor resident status, and participate in admissions and discharges while collaborating with physicians and the care team.
A California LVN license, current CPR, and graduation from an approved LVN/LPN program are required; long-term care
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides direct nursing care to residents and supervises the day-to‑day nursing activities performed by Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). Care is delivered in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations, facility policies, and under the direction of the Director of Nursing (DON) or Nurse Supervisor to ensure the highest quality of resident care.
Provides direct supervision to CNAs during assigned shift
Ensures staff adhere to policies, procedures, and scope of practice
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift
Ability to lift, push, pull, and assist residents (up to 25 lbs routinely; more with assistance)
Ability to respond to emergencies, including resident evacuation if needed
Skilled nursing facility environment
Exposure to residents, visitors, and healthcare equipment
Noise level generally low to moderate
