Job summary

The Lac Vieux Desert Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians is seeking a Full-Time LVD Housing Maintenance Laborer to perform routine maintenance, rough carpentry, painting, and basic equipment repair for housing units. Duties include responding to work orders, cleaning, and performing various repairs with a focus on confidentiality and reliability.

Required are basic carpentry skills, ability to work with minimal supervision, and a valid driver's license with insurance.

Qualifications

EMPLOYMENT: Full-Time

SALARY/PAY RATE: $20.00-$23.00/Hour

DESCRIPTION:

The Lac Vieux Desert Band of Lake SuperiorChippewa Indians ("LVD") is seeking a maintenance Laborer to perform routinemaintenance duties including rough carpentry, painting, and basic equipment offacility and snow removal.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist in completing inspections upon client’smoving in/out of units.
• Must be willing to do all types of householdcleaning.
• Responds to work orders.
• Maintain individual client files of work done onunits.
• Compile receipts and assemble the billing of workcompleted.
• Fill out daily work logs.
• Other jobs as assigned by the director.

Skills & Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must pass background check.
• Must provide valid driver’s license andinsurance.
• Must possess basic carpentry skills.
• Must possess basic knowledge of furnace repair.
• Must possess basic knowledge of roof repair.
• Must be dependable and able to complete work in aprofessional manner.
• Must be able to finish drywall and paint.
