Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking an Applications Engineer for the Low Voltage Power Supply Electronics Applications & Engineering Project Management role within the EVDD team. You will join a dynamic group delivering power modules and high-performance hardware for next-generation vehicles.

You will lead architecture to launch, coordinate with Core Electronics Module Design Team and suppliers, and apply quality tools to ensure on-time delivery and cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with electrical modules and PCB/circuit design (DCDC’s, Ultracapacitors).
• Proven success in leading electrical modules through the launch process to production, with strong communication under pressure.
• 3+ years of delivering electrical modules to production.
• 3+ years of experience in component design and release is highly desired.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and communication with senior leadership.
• Self-motivated with ability to manage multiple complex tasks.
• Strong cost and quality mindset for process and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead low-voltage power supply module hardware from architecture to launch in vehicles.
• Drive program execution with rigorous processes, sign-offs, and documentation; manage GPDS milestones.
• Lead root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why’s, and Is/Is Not; implement corrective actions.
• Facilitate trade-offs with stakeholders and engineering reviews.
• Interface with Core Electronics Module Design Team and suppliers on timing.
• Manage requirements and deliverables including DCRs, ESOWs, and CPA documents; support vehicle testing.
• Review SDS testing and update manuals; monitor related projects.
• Contribute to Financial Planning inputs and TVM studies for cost optimization.
• Support design efficiency and value engineering studies.
