Job summary

The Langham Boston is seeking a results-driven Social Catering Sales Manager to lead revenue growth in weddings and high-value social events. You will build relationships with planners, convert inquiries to contracts, and coordinate luxury event planning from inquiry to execution.

You will collaborate with departments to ensure seamless handoffs and exceptional guest experiences, leveraging your luxury hospitality expertise and proactive selling approach.

• Demonstrated success in catering, wedding, event or hospitality sales with revenue goals.
• Strong negotiation and value communication to close business.
• High-touch client relationship management in luxury service.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Ability to develop new accounts and industry partnerships.
• Commercial mindset with pricing, revenue and space management understanding.
• Excellent organization and time management for multiple events.

Responsibilities

• Achieve annual catering revenue goals and sales objectives.
• Manage full sales cycle: qualification, proposals, site inspections, contracting and planning.
• Serve as ambassador for The Langham, Boston's luxury wedding and social events.
• Solicit new business through prospecting, networking, planner relationships, referrals.
• Maintain a strategic sales pipeline with forecasting and movement.
• Develop relationships with planners, industry partners, and key accounts.
• Identify opportunities to maximize event value with menus, beverages, spaces, and services.
• Prepare site visits and customized proposals aligned to client priorities.
• Maintain accurate account activity and booking information in systems.
• Monitor market trends and adjust strategies with leadership.
