Job summary

Global Travel Collection in Woodmere, NY, seeks a Luxury Leisure Travel Consultant to support an Independent Advisor with a high-volume leisure business. You will research and book luxury accommodations, yachts, cruises, and concierge services to meet client expectations.

You will review travel documents, stay informed about world events affecting travel, and maintain detailed client records to ensure satisfaction. This is an in-office role in Woodmere, NY.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in luxury leisure hospitality.
• Minimum of 1 year of Sabre experience.
• Competent with all ticketing processes including exchanges.
• Experience with high end and high demand travelers.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Research and execute client luxury leisure bookings, including hotels, villas, yachts, cruises, dining, and full-service concierge.
• Investigate travel destinations, prices, and customs to propose suitable options.
• Ensure clients are aware of travel documents and health requirements for destinations.
• Review client reservations for accuracy and quality.
• Maintain client records until departure, ensuring all details are complete.
• Handle re-routing, exchanges, invoices, bookings, and spreadsheets as needed.

Responsibilities

The Luxury Leisure Travel Consultant will be responsible for providing support to an Independent Advisor with a high-volume leisure business. This individual is expected to assess the client’s needs and provide travel options that meet their expectations.

This is a full in-office position based in our Woodmere, NY office.

• Research and execute client luxury leisure bookings, including hotel and villas, yachts, cruises, dining arrangements, trip proposals, and full-service concierge.
• Investigate different travel destination options, travel prices, and customs.
• Suggest suitable travel options that best suit customer's needs.
• Is knowledgeable about world events and weather that might affect travel plans.
• Ensure that client is aware of all necessary travel documents and health requirements for countries to be visited.
• Independently review client reservations for accuracy and quality.
• Maintain ownership of each client record until departure to ensure all details are completed to the client's satisfaction.
• Access queues throughout the day
• Handle re-routing and exchange processes as necessary
• Prepare invoices, handle bookings, and manage spreadsheets
• Update client profiles as needed
• Research and provide solutions to any travel-related problem clients may experience.
• Maintain awareness of all airline rules and regulations and accurately applies this knowledge to all travel arrangements.
• Follow up with clients upon their return, obtain feedback, and offer to assist with future travel plans.
• Understanding and implementing AXUS digital itinerary platform (can be taught as needed).
• Perform additional duties/projects upon request.

Qualifications

• At least three (3) years of experience in the luxury leisure sector of the hospitality industry.
• Minimum of one (1) year of Sabre experience.
• Competency with all ticketing processes including exchanges.
• Experience with high end and high demand travelers.
• Ability to function in a fast -paced, demanding environment with little supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
