Job summary

Dc-Global-Talent-Inc. is seeking a Director of Spa and Wellness for a premier luxury hotel in Montauk. This senior role leads spa operations, wellness initiatives and guest services to enhance experience and profitability.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in luxury spa management and a proven track record in leadership, scheduling, and vendor relations, with flexibility for weekends and evenings. Montauk-based position with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of spa and wellness management experience, including at least 2 years in a senior leadership role within a luxury setting.
• Strong understanding of spa services, wellness trends, and retail management, including merchandising and inventory.
• Proven financial acumen with budgeting, forecasting, and revenue management.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of spa facilities including pool, fitness, thermal and aquatic environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related field preferred.
• Flexible availability including weekends, holidays and evenings as required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full daily operation of the spa, including all spa services, wellness programmes, and aquatic facilities.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance the guest experience, drive revenue, and grow the profitability of the spa and retail operations.
• Lead, inspire, and develop a team of therapists, estheticians, retail attendants, and support staff to maintain high service standards.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to promote spa services, wellness retreats, and special events.
• Manage scheduling, training, and ongoing development of the spa and retail team.
• Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships for spa products and treatment lines, negotiating favourable terms.
• Analyse financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, to meet business objectives.
• Stay current with wellness, beauty, and spa trends, introducing new services and products where appropriate.
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations across all spa areas.
• Collaborate with engineering to address and resolve maintenance issues promptly within the spa.
